Introduction
Shinhan Machinery Co. Ltd.
started as a manufacturer of shipbuilding works in 1990. Since then,
the company has grown by continually improving quality, productivity and
expansion in the business lines. In the 21st century, Shinhan wishes
to achieve globalization and contribute to the prosperity of our related
businesses.
We are now establishing a
company with international competitiveness based on punctual deadline
management. All of the Shinhan personnel are well prepared to serve
the customers with trust and diligence.
Shipbuilding Division
Shinhan produces more than
100,000-tons/year of shipbuilding assemblies, including the deckhouses, hull
block assemblies including the fore and aft ends, engine casings and funnels
and the ship rudders. These components are highly complicated and
require dedicated skills, specialized manpower and well equipped shops
Offshore
Division
Shinhan has delivered Pontoon
Blocks (2,000 tons) and Living Quarters (130 people) to HHI (Hyundai Heavy
Industries Co., Ltd.) in 1999 for RBS-8M/8D project from Reading & Bates
U.S.A. Recently, Living Quarters (102 people) for Kizomba ‘B’ TLP
project, which was committed on a Turn-Key basis (E.P.C) contract, was
awarded by DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd.) and
successfully completed and delivered to EMDC (ExxonMobil Development Co.) in
2004.
Utilizing the latest
state of the art technology, Shinhan has fabricated and delivered the
critical Electrical & Instrument Buildings for the “DALIA-FPSO”, for our
client “TOTAL”, meeting all of the stringent project specifications, within
the prescribed time frame. Shinhan will continue to project its status
to the offshore industry as one of the leading and most competent players.
Shinhan has its own
quay and can readily transport topside modules of 3000-tons or greater using
transporters with hydraulic load control capability.
Our Commitment to Quality and Safety
Shinhan Machinery Company began its operations
as a key subcontractor to the major Korean shipbuilders, including Hyundai,
Samsung and Daewoo. As a result, Shinhan was required to meet the same
quality, safety, health and environmental standards that the international
shipping companies expected to be upheld by the major Korean shipbuilders.
To meet these standards, Shinhan has been recognized Lloyd's Register to ISO
9001 for its quality management system and OHSAS 18001 requirements
for its HSE systems:
