Mr. S. J. Uh,  President/COO

Mr. S. J. Uh had a central role in the development of the Offshore and Engineering Division and the

Industrial Plant Division at HHI for more than 30-years, including positions in Engineering, Project

Management, and Sales/Marketing.   From 1999 to 2002, Mr. Uh was the COO of both the HHI Offshore

and Engineering Division and the HHI Industrial Plant Division.   

As President and COO of OPT, Mr. Uh will direct OPT’s operations to promote the development of offshore

oil/gas projects and industrial plant facilities.  Mr. Uh has excellent record of managing and effectively

completing complicated world-class projects.

●     While C.O.O., led the completion of the world-class facilities listed below.  During this period, the

 Offshore Division became the world leader in the offshore industry and the contract volume and

 yard capacity grew almost 2.5 times.

R&B Falcon, Semi -Submersible Drilling Units (RBS -8M, RBS -8D), Dec 1998~Feb 2001.  About

15,000m/tons of topsides was strand-jack lifted (Super Lifting ) effectively permitted

hull-type structures to be fabricated without a drydock

Shell, Nakika Semi-Submersible Floating Production Unit, 13,000m/ tons of top deck super-lifted

and assembled to the hull, Feb 2001~ Jan 2003

ELF, Girasol FPSO Topside Facilities, July 1999~Feb 2001,

ExxonMobil Kizomba “A” & “B" FPSO’s,  These two mega EPC FPSO projects were completed two

months ahead of original schedule and within budget.

●     Led and organized the Petrobras, FPSO (P-33, P-35) Conversion Project, including (1) the basic

 engineering with Petro-Marine Engineering(PME), USA, (2) detailed engineering with Triune

Projects Pvt.LTD (TPPL), India, (3) tanker conversion and FPSO construction with Shahaiguan

shipyard (SHG), China (4) pre-commissioning & commissioning at HHI Ulsan yard and (5) final

 Installation & start-up with Setal in Brazil, successfully completing in time and within budget.  The

 Petrobras Project Team awarded HHI with its “Excellent Project Management Award”.

These three projects were performed simultaneously.  Total Construction Weight of

73,000 M tons and 300 km pipeline.

§         Jun 1975~Oct 1979, OSTT (Open Sea Tanker Terminal) of Jubail Industrial Harbour, S. Arabia.

As project coordinator, successfully completed about 100,000 M/tons of jackets, pile,

and trestle  fabrication and installation.  All these jackets/pile/trestles were fabricated in

Ulsan Korea and  transported on barge to Saudi Arabia, which was considered an

innovative idea at the time.

§         June 1974-May 1975,  Engineer of industrial plant engineering/design
