Buga Raya CPP - BRA Project, Malaysia

Based in Nha Trang in Vietnam.  As part of the Lundin Malaysia

project, supervised all construction activities such as fabrication,

test, pre- commissioning, load-out for 10,000 metric tons of the

central process platform at the HHI operated Vinashin Repair

Ship Yard.

Responsible for the planning and execution of the Float-Over

installation of the platform deck and completed the hookup and

commissioning of the platform for the Bunga Raya Field in

Malaysia

Maersk Qatar Block 5 Al-Shaneen Offshore Complex

In a three month assignment, directed the initial phases of the basic engineering program for

the Maersk Qatar field expanasion project at KPE in Singapore.  The project involved the

design and installation of more than 37,000-tons of jackets and topside modules associated

with the expansion of the Qatar Al-Shaneen field.

Based in China at the Shanhaiguan Shipyard.  Supervised all

construction and sea trials for two 50,000 DWT class

semisubmersible barges built to support the HHI Offshore

Based in the SAFF fabrication yard in Iran.  Responsible for all project management issues

and establishing all fabrication yard production procedures required to the fabrication of

four offshore jackets and one wellhead platform.

Based in China at the Shanhaiguan Shipyard.  Responsible for

implementing all aspects of the construction work associated

with the conversion of the 270,000 DWT class VLCC “Jose

Bonifacio” & the VLCC “Henrique Dias“ into FPSO’s for

Petrobras, Brazil.

Led the construction of all the new topside modules for the two

FPSO’s and completely refurbished the hulls of the two 270,000

DWT class tankers.  Replaced more than 8000 metric tons of old

plates, rebuilt the boiler in-place, etc

Mobil EDOP Nigeria Project

In Ulsan, responsible for the engineering, procurement, loadout and transportation of the

Mobil Nigeria oil and gas injection project.

While based in Nigeria, site manager and responsible for the offshore installation, hook-up,

pre-commissioning and commissioning of the project facilities.

HHI/OPI Derrick Barge Upgrade

As project manager under the HHI/OPI joint venture company, led and coordinated the

work required upgrade an existing derrick barge to a 5000-ton lift capacity.  The project

involved the removal of the 1400-ston crane from the ‘Sarita’ and installating a new-built

5000-mton crane, including all necessary hull modifications.

Total project responsibility for the engineering, procurement,

installation and commissioning of the two NQP oil and gas

process platforms that were part of the $1-billion + NQP/NPC

platform complexes built for ONGC.

Marketing Department.  Senior Manager of Sales department for pressure vessels, bridge

construction and high rise buildings.

Production Department.  Task force team leader that led HHI to be qualified for producing

pressure vessels under the ASME stamps (U, U2, PP, A, and R stamps)

basic engineering department.

Asst. Manager of Q.C. Department (1981-1983).  Responsible for inspection of welding,

material receiving, fabrication of offshore platforms

Chief QC and Welding Engineer (1979-1981).  Chief Welding engineer for Zuluf GOSP

Project (ARAMCO), EPMI Project (Esso Production Malaysia Incorporated), ONGC Project

(Well Injection Platform, India) and SSB Project (Sarawak Shell Berhad).  Responsible for

reviewing welding procedure specifications and supervising procedure qualification tests,

welder training and welder qualification test.  Principal of the HHI welding school.

Chief QC Engineer.  Chief QC engineer of the Champion-7 project (Brunei Shell Petroleum),

North Rankin Platform 'A' pile tubular project (Woodside), Yanbu LNG Tanker Terminal

project (Aramco), and Yosu LNG Tanker Terminal project (Korea).

Deputy Manager (1978-1979).  Deputy Manager for construction of the Ssang Yong Oil

Refinery Company.  Responsible for all construction activities such as installation of oil

storage tank, fabrication of process piping and instrumentation including hook-up &

precommissioning.

Senior QC engineer for Open Sea Tanker Terminal of Jubail Harbor Project (1976-1978)

Responsible for Inspection and documentation.

QC Engineer in Ship building division (1974-1976).  Responsible for inspection of shipyard

hulls and outfitting
